Warning - some of the sugary bagels may catch on fire in your toaster!! It just happened...luckily this homemaker handled the mini flames whooshing in her toaster without too much devastation. In other words, my bagel was saved. Mmmmm...
Please don't tell Ryan about this incident. He has been hounding me for the past few months to get a toaster oven (the benefits of which he seems to believe far outweigh the inevitable loss of counter space) and if he knew that our standard grade toaster could be a fire hazzard, I would never hear the end of it.
I have nothing against toaster ovens, mind you; I just value my precious counter space much more!
I do think that toaster ovens are banned from college dorm rooms for good reason: fire hazard. I'd say you have 2 reasons to just say no: safety & space. :)
